Meet The Doctors
Dr. Tyler Lutt
Dr. Sonya Kummer
Dr. Scott O'Neil
I grew up on a farm outside of Wayne, Nebraska and stayed close to home by attending Wayne State College where I earned my Bachelors in Biology. I then graduated from the UNMC College of dentistry in Lincoln in spring of 2025.
I am a huge Husker fan and watch whichever Nebraska sports team is on TV. I enjoy the outdoors- hunting, fishing, golfing, and walking my dog, Remy.
I have always loved living in a rural area and am so excited to serve Nebraska City!
I mostly grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and spent my summers in North Carolina. I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and studied architecture and pre-dental. I earned my dental degree at UNMC College of Dentistry in 1987.
After doing a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center, I became an associate with a dentist in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I purchased Dr. Nocita's practice in 1992 and have been in Nebraska CIty, Nebraska ever since. We built our current office in 2000.
I married my husband, Randy, in 1986 and we have two sons, John and Ryan. In my free time I enjoy reading, gardening, puzzles and traveling.
Following my father's United States Air Force career, my family moved about every two to three years throughout the United States, as well as Europe. I graduated from an American high school in Germany then came back to Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for my undergraduate degree. I later graduated from the UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln.
My wife and I moved to Nebraska City, Nebraska directly after dental school and have been here for the last 36 years. I now consider the Nebraska City area my hometown. In our free time outside of working, we like to read, watch movies and visit our three children. We enjoy seeing them excelling in their respective careers. We hope to get back into bicycling, hiking and camping in the coming years.
Nebraska City has been a wonderful place for us to work and live over the last three decades. Thank you to the many, many patients over the years who have trusted us in the little red brick building on North 13th Street. In a time when so many small dental practices are simply closing the doors when the dentist retires, I am excited about the opportunities offered in joining my dental practice with Dr. Kummer's practice and seeing Arbor Dental continue into the future providing excellent and high-quality dental care in a comfortable office setting. Thank you again for your trust over the years and I hope you'll give us a visit in the new location!
